"People who show the ability to get things done in other fields, to synthesize their experiences, and to take a broader view of the human experience are more likely to be the pirates that Steve was searching out"
- First understanding his definition of a strong pirate. Steve was looking for the pirate that was also well rounded in other fields of creativity. One who was able to understand from different perspectives in order to create life solutions. Taking knowledge from different situations faced, in order to create new and innovative products. While still having a humble mind and aspiration for succeeding the company.
"Steve was known to rely not so much on what people said as on how they said it, and on the meta-data that came in around the actual answer"
- This is interesting. Steve honed in on the approach of an answer and the explanation of an answer. Meaning he payed more attention to the body language and tone in which the response was given. Which kind of underlines another quote “attitude is all you need to make it"
This was a motivating article showing the passion Steve had in his job. This passion is something he looked for in workers calling them pirates. Because of their loyalty and drive to complete the mission. A pirate has certain qualities in his ideologue of working. He has self motivation under his captain. This is one of the main qualities Steve looked for in his workers.
The Cover Letters
I think this article was very helpful in defining a good cover letter. This article illustrated an outline of the perfect cover letter by following three rules. By showing your employer: you’re going to perform incredibly well in this job. You’re insanely likable. You’re really going to fit in around there. By bringing attention to your skills catered for the job you should be in good shape if you follow these steps. The cover letter is the seller to the interview. This is where you show the employer you passion for the position.
