French Fold

My client was Tucker Love and my fold shows Tucker's growth from high-school. on the front of the fold I have a string leading the viewer to the next fold. The second fold introduces a textured background of wood chips, that would be sprinkled on top of a gardens soil. This references Tuckers motivation to rebuild things and help communities grow. The third fold is a picture of Tucker today with the textured background. The final fold is monogram of his initials.

Behance bio

Hello I'm a sophomore studying graphic design at the Kansas City Art Institute. I plan to graduate in 2016 and focus in company branding, advertisement and fashion.

narrative

Tucker Love was born December 14, 1993.  He is the older brother of a younger sister who is three years younger than him.  As a child he enjoyed watching cartoons such as, Rugrats, Tom & Jerry, and Disney’s Goofy collections. Growing up playing soccer and stand up bass were some of the many hobbies Tucker indulged in after school. Reading books was something that stuck out from the rest. Tucker loved the tangible aspect of a book. This love for books lead him to join his school’s yearbook committee his senior year of high school. This is also the year Tucker wanted to peruse art as a career. The ability to design something and then print it, to have the final product was something special. Tucker said,  “I love the smell of new books—when you open the cover for the first time.” The same year, he realized the need for more creative directors.  Tucker’s goal is to finish school with a degree in graphic design to move on, and become an art teacher.

Self Evaluation

I think im understanding the concepts and principles we're learning. Theres still room for improvement and conveying these methods in a compelling way. I can see how what we're learning play a big role in good looking design that speak for itself. The class is definitely a challenge I like.
