T4: Thesis Book
Overall Feeling and aesthetic of the piece is obscurity, overlaying and stability. While engaging with the piece it will be immersive, revealing but organized. While maintaining a level of playfulness. I want the piece to unfold and the story will become clearer as the reader engages.
Key words:
Overlaying/ Layers
Obscurity/ Deconstruction
Stability/ Grounded

t4: Packaging

So for my product I choose fruit cups. My plan is to redo the actual box and maybe add some vinyl cut details on the actual cup. I want to keep the aesthetic fresh, playful but not kid like. Aiming to combine multiple textures with the different qualities of the fruit.

Book cover
For my first book I had the idea of redesigning the cover for "The Maze Runner" by James Dashner. This book is super cool and I think this is a good candidate because the cover now is horrible. This book is field with alot of interesting things that I can pull from. As for the cover I think I can add alot of mystery and roughness to it referencing the story. The story is about a group of kids that are stuck in a maze and they fight to survive while trying to escape the maze.
Current Cover:

Some book covers:
For my Second book I had the idea of doing the "Lord of the flies" by William Golding. I really like this book and think there is a lot of imagery that can be pulled from this book. I like how raw and visual this book was. These kids fight for survival and its really interesting. I think I can add some of that rawness aesthetic to the book cover. I was also thinking about a graphic and bold aesthetic to contrast the raw and roughness.
Current cover:

Some of the book covers out already.

quote
Quotes:
The Big Easy
Laissez Les Bon Temps Rou ler (Let the Good times Toll)
If it aint green, it aint clean
A Wolf in sheep clothes
Fo shizzle Ma Nizzle - Snoop dogg
Mono Imperial Conquer
And you know this, man!- Friday
Method:
My plan is to merge different styles together to create a new feel. Using different paper textures, rendering and layering techniques. I want to keep the quote short. So I can add extra imagery to help the theme pop.
