Communities and research

At this stage Amber and I are thinking about a broad list of strong communities without any specific location yet. We thought about communities that could use technology to strengthen their cause or to help give them a better experience. Also something that we might be more interested in as a group.

General List of Communites:

Bikers
organic eaters
grad students
Seniors
Music lovers
football fans
dog lovers
young adults
home owners
travelers
movie goers
teachers

Examples:

A community of bikers dedicated to healthy living and environmental cleanliness

Senior Living Living:
The Beacon Hill Village - Which is a organization that include access to discounted providers who can help you manage your household, stay active and healthy, and serve your driving needs.

Wearable technology:

Examples:

  • waterproof watch:

  • Apple Watch
  • Google glasses

  • Fitbit Watch
  • Frantic moving eyeball shirts

  • cardo BK-1

(This is interesting, it's a device that turns your helmet into a walkie talkie and radio. I thought it would be interesting to think about how this could connect to a phone and your conversations could be recorded as text messages, most likely an app. and maybe video could play in somehow.)
